Company

Gravicon EE was established as an associated company of Gravicon Oy in 2012. Gravicon Oy has a long term experience in BIM projects and for today they have completed several dozen of IFC projects. Gravicon EE operates as an technology consultant and process developer for building industry. We are specialized in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Lean Construction (LC) consulting services and solutions. We are consulting our customers in BIM and LC in various types of projects; most recent in this field have been the Israeli NBRI safety research, Ranniku Street complex dwelling and Savekate’s Jätkäsaaren Imujäteasema. In addition we have been providing consulting services, specialized trainings and participated in EU funded projects. Our tasks in these projects vary from defining the overall specifications for the BIM work in the project to actually creating the BIM models.


Our key strengths are experience in construction and design, pioneer position in BIM and understanding of the design and construction processes. For our services we use wide variety of carefully selected applications. This combination of experiences and IT skills gives us a unique position in the market and benefits our clients.

Team

Siim Saidla

Siim graduated from Tallinn University of Applied Sciences in the field of Construction Engineering. For his previous experience he worked at design office for five years. Since 2007 he has been using BIM models for structural engineering. In every day work he is using Autodesk products: Autodesk Revit Structure, AutoCAD Structural Detailing and Autodest Robot Structural Analysis Professional. He has expert level in Autodesk Revit Structure and Architecture. For BIM coordination he uses mainly Tekla BIMsight and Navisworks Manage. Siim also has a experience in Tekla Structure, ArchiCAD, Solibri Model Checker, Vico Office and Autodesk Revit MEP. Nowadays he is participating in Tallinn University of Applied Sciences’ BIM development projects. In 2011 he co-founded Estonian BIM Competence Center.

Ergo Pikas

Ergo has a Masters of Science degree in Construction Management from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. His research interests were related with Lean Construction and BIM. As for the previous experience, he has worked at the Centre for Research and Innovation, Salford University, UK. His work was related with observing the trends of BIM adoption in healthcare projects. Before England, he graduated from Tallinn University of Technology in 2010. During his studies he founded together with other colleagues an Estonian Group for Lean Construction. Throughout his studies he was working in different types of construction companies and was responsible for various kinds of activities. For his work, he has been using Revit family, VICO Office, Tekla Structures, Tekla BIMSight and Navisworks Manage. In addition, he has been related with ArchiCAD, 3DS Max, AutoCAD, Autodesk Showcase and Synchro.

Aivars Alt

Aivars has a Masters of Science degree from the Tallinn University of Technology. For nine years he worked for trade company specializing in concrete works. Since then he has been using 3D models in his daily work to communicate/collaborate with clients and partners, facilitate by Autodesk products. Since 2009 Aivars has been working at the Tallinn Tehnikakõrgkool/University of Applied Sciences as associate professor, where he is actively taking part of BIM development projects, including organization of different kinds of events introducing BIM for Estonian AEC industry. His main areas of interest are energy simulations, laser scanning and architectural modelling. He is one of the founders of Estonian BIM Competences Centre established in 2011.
